Below we would like to give you an overview of how we ensure the protection of your personal data when you access our website and what types of personal data we process, for what purposes and to what extent.

Processing of data when accessing our website - log files

When you access our website, information of a general nature is automatically collected. This information (server log files) includes, for example, the type of web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of your internet service provider and similar. In addition, the IP address is transmitted and used to use the service you have requested. This information is technically necessary in order to correctly deliver the website content you have requested and is mandatory when using the Internet.

This log file data is anonymised or deleted by us immediately after the end of the usage process. The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 f) GDPR.

We take technical and operational security precautions on our website to protect the personal data stored by us from access by third parties, loss or misuse and to enable secure data transfer.

IV. Integration of third-party services

Integration of social plugins

Elements of social media are used on this website (Facebook, LinkedIn).

You can usually recognise the social media elements by the respective social media logos. To ensure data protection on this website, we only use these elements together with the so-called "Shariff" solution. This application prevents the social media elements integrated on this website from transferring your personal data to the respective provider when you first enter the site. A direct connection to the provider's server is only established when you activate the respective social media element by clicking on the corresponding button (consent). As soon as you activate the social media element, the respective provider receives the information that you have visited this website with your IP address. If you are logged into your respective social media account (e.g. Facebook) at the same time, the respective provider can assign the visit to this website to your user account.

Data transmission to cooperation partners (e.g. parking lot providers)

As part of our services, Happy Trucker offers the option of booking truck parking spaces with external cooperation partners (hereinafter “partners”). In order to enable the booking to be made and the reserved parking spaces to be used, selected personal data is automatically transmitted to the respective partner exclusively for this purpose. The partner involved in each case is named on the detail page of a parking space under “License partner”.

1. Purpose of the data transfer
  
  The transmission serves the following purposes:
  1. Reservation and management of the booked parking space
  2. Control of access to the parking space (e.g. opening of barriers)
  3. Prevention of misuse and unauthorized use
  4. Communication with the driver in the event of entry, exit or problems on site
2. Transmitted data categories
  
  The following data is transmitted to the respective partner as part of the booking and use of a parking space:
  1. Date and time of the planned check-in and check-out
  2. License plate number of the parking truck
  3. First name and surname of the driver
  4. Mobile phone number of the driver (only if required for processing on site)
  Data is transmitted via a secure application programming interface (API). Our partners are contractually obliged to use the transmitted data exclusively for the specified purpose and to process it in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations.
3. Legal basis for data processing
  
  The legal basis for the transmission of the data is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR (fulfillment of contract), as the data is required to provide the booked service (parking space reservation). Insofar as special functions of the parking space (e.g. automated access control by mobile number) are used, the processing is also based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest).
4. Duration of storage for partners
  
  Our partners are obliged to store the personal data received only for as long as is necessary to fulfill the purpose (e.g. proof of use). Thereafter, the data will be deleted in accordance with their internal data protection guidelines, but at the latest after expiry of statutory retention periods.
5. Categories of recipients
  
  The recipients include only parking lot providers and technical platform operators contractually bound by Happy Trucker, with whom the processing of data has been contractually regulated in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR (order processing) or Art. 26 GDPR (joint responsibility).
6. Rights of data subjects
  
  Data subjects may at any time in accordance with Art. 15 et seq. GDPR, data subjects can obtain information about the processed data or request its rectification, erasure or restriction of processing. In addition, the transmission of the mobile number can be objected to in individual cases, unless it is necessary for the provision of services.

The Hosted Payment Page is a payment page operated by First Cash Solution and embedded in the www.happy-trucker.de website. Happy Trucker users only enter their payment information (e.g. credit card details or other payment details) directly on this page.

Happy Trucker does not gain access to the payment data entered at any time.

  Third country transfer
  
  For the USA, the European Commission adopted a news adequacy decision on 10 July 2023. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Privacy Framework. Since Google servers are distributed worldwide and a transfer to third countries (for example to Singapore) cannot be completely ruled out, we have also concluded the EU standard contractual clauses with the provider to establish an appropriate level of data protection in those countries.
  
  Retention period
  
  The data sent by us and linked to cookies are automatically deleted after 2 months. The maximum lifespan of Google Analytics cookies is 2 years. The deletion of data whose retention period has been reached occurs automatically once a month.

  The legal basis for this data processing is your consent pursuant to Art.6 para.1 p.1 lit.a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 p.1 TTDSG.
  
  Withdrawal
  
  You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by accessing the cookie settings and changing your selection there. The lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until revocation remains unaffected.

  We use Google Adwords to draw attention to our attractive offers with the help of advertising material (so-called Google Adwords) on external websites. These adverts are delivered by Google via so-called "ad servers". Ad server cookies are used to analyse performance parameters such as ad impressions, clicks and conversions. This enables us to determine how successful the individual advertising measures are in relation to the advertising campaign data.   Use of DoubleClick by Google
  
  This website uses the online marketing tool DoubleClick by Google, another service provided by Google. DoubleClick uses cookies to display adverts that are relevant to users, to improve campaign performance reports or to prevent a user from seeing the same adverts more than once. Google uses a cookie ID to record which adverts are displayed in which browser and can thus prevent them from being displayed more than once.
